Your skins is pretty resilient but then it has to be. Its under attack day and night, summer and winter from dirt, bacteria and the effects of the weather. But whatever the time of year, there are plenty of things you can do to keep it clear and healthy. And Clearasil products will help you overcome the effects of seasonal extremes too.

Summer and hot weather skin

THE BAD THINGS:

  • You get hot and sweaty which encourages spots
  • Air-conditioning dries your skin out
  • Sun dries your skin out
  • Sunburn can make skincare painful
  • You want to look your best but summer can be a stressful time of year too; not good for your complexion

THE GOOD THINGS:

  • Sunscreen

Always protect your skin with a high SPF broad spectrum sunscreen. Ask for brands that are 'non-comedogenic' (don't contain oil) as they don't clog pores; and throw out sunscreen that's over a year old.

  • Shade

A wide-brimmed hat will keep the worst of the weather off your face.

  • Swimming

Salt water can be good for spots-prone skin as it's naturally cleansing. But make sure you rinse off with fresh water after your dip.

  • Clearasil

Choose a daily routine that keeps you clean without drying out the skin. A product like Clearasil Deep Cleansing Scrub will remove dead skin cells, clear your pores and help you to look fresh and clear-skinned for the summer.

Winter and cool weather skin

THE BAD THINGS:

  • Wind can dry your skin out
  • Indoor (and outdoor) heaters dry your skin out
  • Your skin can chaff easily from the wind

THE GOOD THINGS:

  • Dry atmosphere

Place water near heaters to keep the air around you moist.

  • Moisturiser

Use a good facial non-oily moisturiser to overcome the effects of dry heat.

  • Clearasil

Choose a daily routine that keeps you clean without drying out the skin. A product like Clearasil Skin Perfecting Wash will deep cleanse your pores and help tackle bacteria without over-drying your skin; keeping you looking fresh and clear-skinned for the winter.
